MOORE BLACK & THE ORGANIC ROOTS
Moore Black was born & raised in Nigeria (West Africa)
where music and dance are part of everyday life.
Writing prolifically from a very young age,
Moore's lyrics encompass cultural, social, political & environmental issues
His songwriting & arrangements are his own unique seductive stamp on the Reggae genre.

Moore's first studio experience was in 1983, he knew then what his purpose was!
After leaving Nigeria for Europe in the early 90's, Moore began working as a street musician.
He landed work in various clubs as an MC, and finally formed a Reggae band "Stir it Up"

to tour constantly around Greece,
they were especially in great demand throughout summers around the Greek Islands.
Since arriving in Australia in 1999, Moore formed his first Reggae outfit
"Moore Black & the Reggae Rhythms", bringing Roots Reggae to the local pub circuit.
In 2003 Moore's song "Dance mi Ragga" made it in the top 10 "World music"
category for the "Musicoz" awards (Australia wide).
Moore now fronts the culturally diverse Reggae band ‘Organic Roots’
that was assembled in 2004.
The name was inspired from issues that need order & purifying.
Serendipity delivered a culturally diverse collection of musicians
they were especially in great demand throughout summers around the Greek Islands.

Mika - percussion/vocals
A Japanese healer/teacher with twist of dreadlocks, residing in Adelaide.
Through many fields of art, she expresses joy of life and happiness.
Adriana - percussionist & drummer.
She has had extensive performance experience, specializing in African & Latin rythms,

Our creative and talented bass player, Ezio was playing in a reggae band "The Roots family" in Venice, Italy before moving to Australia and joining "Organic Roots"
Eduardo - Congas/Percussion
Born & bred in Valparaiso, Chile and growing up with latin music
it is no doubt that Eduardo is a talented guitarist, singer & percussionist.
His passion & natural ability has led him to join "Organic Roots"
Having a love for reggae music,
Adriana joined "Organic Roots" & went back to her own roots ... playing the drum kit.

Ryzzie - Rhythm Guitar
Performing in and around Adelaide for almost 20 years
in recent years in such bands such as the funkyLatinoJazz group "Banana Moon"
and the 2004 SAMI award winning "Sabor Latino."
Although renowned for his Groovin'Phat Bass Riffs,
Ryzzie has joined as a Rhythm Guitarist-providing additional flavour to the
"Organic Roots" original Reggae Riddims
